Map - Lookin' Good

After days of testing and playing around with the Maps' style, the new artist finally hit the spot. it only took him 2 tries to get it perfect. What he achieved was a beautiful, afternoon kinda feel with a touch of soft focus and shadows. Of course, I made sure to attach a little sample of how things are looking...

After finally getting some of the Battle Characters, I realized that they were much bigger than I had even thought of, much more detailed! I was so happy to see that my artist had decided to take some artistic freedom and made something much better than expected!

MONEY, ARTISTS, SPRITES!

Things are getting better lately. Today I received the First Payment for a Page of a Menu, my first 100 Dollars. It's a great feeling, and has pumped me into working harder and getting more stuff done.
Game-wise, i was having some problems, I couldn't agree with the artist about the pricing for the maps, so in teh end, while he was great, i had to get another one. I feel as if this artist was just as great, and I'm sure we'll get along just fine. I kept the sketch artist, Because he's really nice and very very useful. (I'm not very good at making sketches of maps myself)

My Sprite Artist surprised me yesterday, I got an Email from him, saying he had begun working on the Battle Characters, and I was thinking he had done them the same size as the Walking sprite. it was a good plan, i wasn't expecting anything else. BUT, instead he made them TWICE the size, with much more details and animation! they look GREAT!

I'll be releasing the first Battle screenshot (with the new sprites) very very soon!

OLD ARTIST - NEW ARTIST

Well, Today started as a dreadful day. The new artist i had hired for my game sent me a horrible piece. I had seen his stuff, but apparently, the style he was using for my game was a new, faster one...

Honestly... It sucked...HORRIBLY.

So I decided to email an artist that I had hired to do my Character art, and well, things seem to be working out now. if everything goes well, I'll have an amazing artist working with me.

Apart from that incident, everything has been a little slow, I started working on items and soon was taken by real life. where i had to do some graphic design for a local restaurant. I've recently had a large explosion of work for restaurants and Cafes, it's exciting.

I think I may soon get my own business card.
